ITR14/ITR12T Supporting Document Submission Issue

Issue: When submitting ITR14/ITR12T returns via GreatSoft, users are no longer prompted to upload supporting documents during the submission process. The return immediately goes into a ‘Queued’ status. On eFiling, the Supporting Documents status then shows as ‘Waiting for Documents to be Uploaded’.

Status
[20 May 2025] The fix has been applied, and the issue is now resolved.
[14 May 2025] We have escalated the issue to Interfront (the third party responsible for the integration between GreatSoft and eFiling). They confirmed that the release which resolved the ITR14 submission issue unintentionally caused this new problem. A fix has been implemented; however, it is pending SARS approval. The release is scheduled for Friday, subject to that approval.

Fix Timeline
[20 May 2025] The fix has been applied, and the issue is now resolved.
[16 May 2025] Interfront did not get the necessary approval from SARS to release the fix today, however they will do so on Monday and this page will be updated as soon as they confirm that the fix is live.
[14 May 2025] The fix is planned for release on Friday, 16 May 2025 – pending SARS approval.

Workarounds
[20 May 2025] All submissions with the submission of supporting documents can now again be done via GS.
[14 May 2025] Submissions can still be done via GreatSoft as usual. However, once the return has been submitted, the supporting documents will need to be uploaded via eFiling.
